Opening failed: check the .hanavi file and available disk space.
Video Editing
This section details the tools within the Video Editing workspace, including media library, timeline, effects, and audio controls.
Import and manage media
Bring video, images and audio into a project and check which files are in use.
Open Media in Video editing and use the import command to select local files.
Choose media and place it on a suitable timeline track.
Open Media management to inspect project files, usage indicators and missing files.
Import and manage media.
Missing file: select a replacement source in Media management.
Check clips using the replacement; relinking preserves cuts and timing.
Cut and arrange clips on tracks
Split clips and rearrange video on the timeline.
Select a clip and move the playhead to the cut.
Use Split clip or Ctrl+Shift+K.
Drag the clip to its new track position. Preview the join and use Ctrl+Z to undo if needed.
Cut and arrange clips on tracks.
If the command is unavailable, check the selection and that the playhead is inside the clip.
Locked clips cannot be edited; read the message before retrying.
Preview and export video
Review the edit, export it and check the resulting file.
Move the playhead to the beginning and play; inspect picture, text and sound at joins.
Use Shift+F11 for the full-screen viewer; F11 makes the whole HANAVI app full screen.
Open Export with Ctrl+E, select settings and a destination, then start exporting.
Wait for completion, open the exported file and check it from beginning to end.
Preview and export video.
Export failed: read the message, check media, storage and destination, then retry.
If an update is required to export, see Choose a channel and update the app.
Adjust a clip picture and speed
Select a clip to adjust its picture and speed, then preview at the playhead.
Select a picture clip on the timeline and open Properties.
Adjust position, size or colour in the available groups; review the picture after each change.
For a supported video or audio clip, select Speed. Play it to check the picture and its accompanying sound.
Adjust a clip picture and speed.
Higher speed shortens the clip and changes its accompanying sound.
A speed change is refused if it would cover the next clip.
The film track in Final edit keeps its original speed for dubbing alignment; still images have no speed control.
Add text and motion
Add a title, then adjust its text and motion.
Open the text panel, enter content, choose a style and add it to the timeline.
Select the text clip to adjust font, size, colour and layout in Properties.
Open Motion; choose entrance motion, Out or Loop, then preview both ends of the clip.
Add text and motion.
If text is hidden, check position, size and timing.
If motion is invalid, reduce its duration as requested by the app.
Add effects
Apply an effect to a clip and compare the picture before and after adjustment.
Open Effects and find an effect.
Drag its card onto the target picture clip on the timeline.
Select the effect clip on the track above to adjust settings in Properties; preview the affected area.
Add effects.
Invalid drop: read the message and drop onto a supported clip.
Remove the selected effect if the result is unsuitable, then check the picture again.
Add transitions
Place a transition at the join between two touching picture clips on the same track.
Arrange two picture clips so they touch on the same track.
Open Transitions, choose a card and duration, then drag it onto the join.
Play through the join; select the clip to adjust or remove the transition in Properties.
Add transitions.
A gap or the last clip on a track cannot transition to a next clip.
Duration must be positive and no longer than either clip.
Add music and duck it under narration
Add background music and lower it during narration to keep speech clear.
Import music or choose it in the audio panel; preview it and add it to an audio track.
Adjust the music track level and check the project narration.
Enable the music track option to dip under narration. Play a narrated section and one without speech to compare levels.
Add music and duck it under narration.
No narration yet: you can enable it in advance; later narration will dip the music.
If speech is still unclear, reduce music and listen again; also check the exported file.
Use the video editing assistant
Open AI Assistant to check availability for your account. If no AI source is ready, use AI rough cut to begin.
Open a Video editing project and the AI Assistant panel.
If requested, select Sign in at the top right, then reopen the panel.
Read the status. If the server assistant says it opens soon, switch to AI rough cut to build an edit from your media.
Signed out with Sign in action.Signed in but server assistant pending; no add-key button.
After signing in, check the assistant status in the panel.
When an available source allows proposals: enter a request, generate a proposal, review each change, then apply it.
Timeline changed after proposal generation: generate a new proposal. Do not apply the stale one.
AI
Create rough cuts and summary videos, then review before export.
Create a rough cut from media
AI rough cut selects shots from your videos and builds the draft right in the project you have open. If the project already has content or uses a different frame, HANAVI asks first: replace it with the draft or create a new project.
Import videos into Media, then open AI rough cut.
Select media, choose an Editing templates option and preview it. Set Duration, Frame and an optional description.
Choose original subtitles or automatic narration if needed; pick a voice by gender, region and suitable style.
Review the estimate in the app and Pricing, then select Create rough cut.
If the project already has content, choose Replace with the draft (can be undone) or Create a new project. If the frame differs, choose to change this project's frame or create a new project. A project that uses sequences can only create a new project.
Review the draft in the project (or in the new project if you chose one); check shots, narration and subtitles and edit the draft before exporting.
Media selection and template preview.Progress and resulting rough cut project.
No footage: return to Media and import videos.
Insufficient footage: the rough cut may be shorter than the template.
Narration failed: the rough cut is still created; add narration in AI Voice.
If server processing has started, credits are handled according to the request status. Follow the message to retrieve the cut with the same choices.
Create a film summary video
Create a script and narration from film dialogue, then review the summary edit.
Create a Film summary project, import a film in Source and transcribe its speech.
Open Film summary; choose Summary duration, style and Narration voice. Preview the voice before continuing.
Read the dialogue and timestamp submission option, review the estimate and Pricing, then select Continue.
Review the resulting script; open the edit, preview picture and narration, then export the video.

Session expired: sign in again before continuing.
Narration failed: use Continue to retry as instructed; avoid a new request while an unfinished summary exists.
Service interrupted: retry the current request. If it has reached the server, read the message before cancelling or creating a new version.
Video Translation
Import a film, create and review dialogue, choose voices and finish the translation.
Import a film from your computer or a link
Add a film to a Film dubbing project and check the active source before creating dialogue.
Open a Film translation project and go to Source.
Select a local video or drag it into the import area. For a link, paste the address and use the source download button.
Watch the download list; check the name and duration of the current film.
Open Dialogue & Translation after the film has been added to the project.
Source with current film and link download list
Download failed: check your connection and access to the link, then retry.
Downloaded but not added: reopen the project and check that the downloaded video is still available. The download list contains link downloads only.
Replacing the source does not delete dialogue from the previous film. Check that film and lines match before continuing; use a new project to start over.
Create dialogue and translate a film
Create dialogue from the film audio and translate it for dubbing.
Go to Dialogue & Translation after importing a film.
Select Transcribe dialogue if there is no dialogue, then watch the status and line count.
Select lines to translate or leave the selection empty to translate all lines, then use the translation button.
If the server translation dialog opens, read the estimate and current balance before confirming; you can choose Translate locally. Review the translation when complete.
Dialogue & Translation transcribing dialogueServer translation estimate with local translation option
No source: return to Source and import a film. Translating without dialogue may queue transcription first.
On failure, read the message; follow Install libraries to get started if a component is missing. Read and edit the machine translation before approving it.
Review and edit individual lines
Compare source dialogue with the translation, edit lines and listen again after changes.
Search or filter lines in Dialogue & Translation and select a line.
Listen to the source and read the translation; unlock a locked line before editing.
Edit the translation and select Save translation. Approve it when the content is correct.
After dubbing the whole film once, use Redo voice to update the edited line audio; listen again and lock the line if you want to keep it unchanged.
Line details with translation, save, approve and lock controls
A line without a translation cannot be approved. Locked lines cannot be edited or retranslated.
If saving fails or the line changed elsewhere, reopen it and read the message before editing again. Changing a role or text does not update existing audio automatically.
If a line is too long, shorten the translation, regenerate audio and listen to its ending.
Read dialogue from burned-in captions
Read source dialogue from burned-in Chinese captions when the film audio is hard to understand.
Import a film into a Film translation project that has no dialogue yet.
Go to Dialogue & Translation and select Read printed captions.
If the burned-in text component is missing, follow Install libraries to get started, restart and run the action again.
Watch caption reading; check the source text and timing of each line before translating.
Project without dialogue and the burned-in caption action
Dialogue creation does not run again when the project already has lines. Use a new project to extract dialogue another way.
Blurred text or complex backgrounds may cause recognition errors; review and edit the translation before creating audio.
Assign roles, choose voices and create audio
Assign dialogue to the right roles and choose voices before dubbing the whole film.
In Dialogue & Translation, select lines, choose a role and use Assign role to selected lines.
Open Characters & Voices and select a role to assign a voice. Filter by gender and preview voices to choose pronunciation and delivery suited to the role.
Preview the voice and check that roles have voices and dialogue is translated.
Select Dub the whole film, watch progress and review the results for voiced lines, lines that do not fit and lines without audio.
Roles and voice library with descriptions, gender filter and previewDubbing results with silent or overlong lines
Voice not installed: install it in Integrated Library and restart.
If lines are silent or too long, check their translations and role voices, edit and regenerate audio. Changing a voice requires dubbing again to replace existing audio.
Finish audio and subtitles
Check audio against the picture and finish subtitles before exporting.
Open Final Cut and play sections near the beginning, middle and end to compare dubbed audio with the picture.
Use the audio realignment command if dubbed clips were moved away from their lines. Adjust and listen to tracks in the audio panel.
Adjust subtitles and covered areas in the viewer.
Review the picture and open the export check panel to address remaining warnings.
Final cut with audio tracks, subtitles and covered area
Hiding a picture track or muting an audio track affects both preview and export.
Unlock the source picture before cutting or deleting it. Rebuilding the edit discards manual timeline changes; read the confirmation before accepting.
Export
Choose output settings and check the finished film.
Export a finished film
Choose export settings and check the finished video and accompanying subtitles.
Open Export from the finished project; choose a preset or adjust picture settings.
Choose audio and subtitle output, then read the summary.
Set a name and destination and check the output path. Start exporting and watch its status.
When complete, open the exported video and check picture, audio, logo and subtitles near the beginning, middle and end. Check the separate subtitle file if selected.
Export with picture, audio, subtitles and summaryExport completed with output path
Export failed: read the message, check free space and write access to the destination, then retry.
If an update is required, finish updating before export. When export completes, open the finished video to check it.

Queued: another component may be installing first; wait for your turn.
If installation keeps failing, keep the message and component name for support; do not delete project data as a repair attempt.
Handle update failures or blocked export
Distinguish an update download failure from a required update before exporting.
Read the update dialog and check the connection after a download failure.
Select Try again. If Keep using this version is offered, use it to continue with the current version.
If a required update blocks Export, finish updating; continuing with the current version is unavailable in that state.
When ready, select Restart to update; wait for active export or dubbing work to finish if required.
Optional update download failure with continue actionExport blocked by a required update
Repeated download failures: record the message and app version for support.
Do not close the app during export or dubbing to force an update; follow the dialog status.
Handle audio preview or export failures
Read preview or export errors, check the source and retry deliberately.
Identify whether the failure is in audio creation, playback or video export; record the message.
For voice preview, check that the voice is installed and retry. If playback fails, check system volume and the generated audio.
If Final Cut cannot mix preview audio, play again to retry mixing; check muted tracks and whether sources are available.
For export failure, check the destination, write access, free space and media sources; reopen Export and retry. Open the finished file after completion.
Voice preview creation or playback errorExport failure with the actual message
Send support the exact audio generation or playback error you see.
For repeated failures, send reproduction steps and a screenshot with personal details hidden; check the name and timestamp of the newly exported video, then open it to review.
Send an error report and contact support
Choose how to report an error and provide steps that help support reproduce it.
When HANAVI encountered an error appears, open the details to inspect the cleaned report.
Choose Send for this report, Always send to save your preference for future reports, or Do not send.
In Settings, find Send error reports to HANAVI to change whether to ask, always send or never send.
For direct support, email info@hanatech.vn with the HANAVI version, Windows version, steps before the error and message; hide email addresses, codes and transaction details in screenshots.
Error report dialog with cleaned details and three choices
Automatic reports do not attach films, subtitles or dialogue.
If sending fails because of the network, reports remain queued for a later retry. If an error occurs without the report dialog opening, send your steps and an error screenshot through the support contact section.
